“In computing, threads are suites of instructions executed in parallel during the same process. The term also refers to a set of messages on a forum or an Internet discussion thread. ”

The installation shows the trace of a “performance” automatically performed by a bot – Automatic software (the term “bot” is short for “robot”) used on the Internet to perform repetitive tasks and simulate human responses – launched networks for one day during the month of September 2014. This bot has during that time sought to “make contact” with potential human correspondents by sending automated emails (more than 5000 messages sent). The email addresses of these “correspondents” were recovered by chance on the internet.

This message thread is presented during the exhibition, in the form of a text constantly rewriting. These mails were automatically drawn from texts like enigmatic haikus and question the artificial intelligence or the manipulation of language. They compose a flow both cryptic and poetic and dispersed on the net by an infiltration and dissemination strategy.
