Starting from the formulation of a hypoth- esis, Fayçal Baghriche‘s works upset our most familiar landmarks through the stag- ing of fundamental gestures. Playing with the sense of shifting, the artist invites a dis- tancing of the norms of reality. Between performance, installation, video and pho- tography, the artist engages in annihilating identification systems, behavioral patterns, or language structures, that determine us. These become, here, a pretext to the poetic construction of another reality.
