Chœur(s) (belgian premiere)
Bringing together 18 poets / performers and Belgian and Quebec sound artists, Chœur(s) — machine à présences poétiques is an interactive video installation whose heart is made of poetry. People stand in the center of a dark room. It is not possible at first glance to determine how many persons there are exactly.
Some stand behind others. Walking around the room, it is possible to count nine. Nine men and women standing in the center of the space, turned outward, call the visitor with poetry. Nine poets, each accompanied by an invisible sound artist, whose vibrations travel at thirteen corners of the room.
